Birding Scotland (1998) A motorist got a bit of a shock when he drove over a small owl on the main Kilmacolm Road in May 1998 . Fortunately, the bird wasn't too badly injured and was taken in to care at the Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre where it was nursed back to full health. Angus Murray takes up the story.
