Ardmore's sightings included a returning Slavonian Grebe in summer plumage and a male Wigeon with a Little Egret and two Greenshank still amongst the waders, also three Swifts lingering.
A coordinated count at RSPB Baron's Haugh produced an excellent 10 Green Sandpipers (which is still four short of the record there in August 2021 2018); nearby, a Greenshank and Black-tailed Godwit at Carbarns Pool also a reeling Grasshopper Warbler at Dalzell Estate.
