The 3rd-winter Yellow-legged Gull arriving late to the Balgray Reservoir gull roost at 1720 hrs, also increased numbers of gulls with 320 Lesser Black-backs, 900 Herring and 700 Black-heads.
A Green Sandpiper at Carbarns Pool, before flying to Merryton; nearby, a Little Egret and 12 Gadwall at RSPB Baron’s Haugh, also passage of Pink-footed Geese north over.

A good selection of sightings from Isle of Bute, including 134 Greenland White-fronted Geese at Ballianlay, a Little Egret and a Hen Harrier at St Ninian’s saltmarsh, 30 Twite at Ettrick Bay, and two Barnacle Geese with a small flock of Pinkfeet and Greylags at Kingarth Cemetery.
