Clyde Ringing GroupArgyllSeabirdsLong term monitoring on Sanda (Kintyre) is now very restricted due to "access issues" so our study which also started in 1984 is now restricted to 1-2 visits a year for Manx Shearwaters and Auks
Clyde Ringing GroupAyrshire & Dumfries & GallowayRAS (Retrapping Adults for Survival) BTO project looking into survival rates of species not covered by CESEider on Horse Isle since 2001 is the only one for this species in the UK. Pied Flycatcher in woods near Mennock since 1995 (we ring Redstart and Nuthatch as well)
Clyde Ringing GroupClydeGeneral ringing (Constant Effort Sites, mist netting breeding passerines and estimating breeding success and population levels.Combined effort ringing 10-13K new birds a year of 100-120 species annually. This generates c250 BTO recoveries a year but with us colour ringing up to 19 species we get about 1000 other reports.

Clyde Ringing GroupClydeTree Sparrow Nest boxes and monitoring Led by Paul Baker Erecting nest boxes for Tree Sparrow at Millichen farm to secure glasgows only colony of Tree Sparrow, and to expand range. Monitoring by metal and Dark Blue Darvic rings and camera to identify wintering range to direct suplementary feeding to increase winter survival.

More volunteers welcome

Private Study - Kevin SinclairGlasgowTree SparrowsFrom April 2022, the project will monitor Tree Sparrow populations at Flenders Farm (Clarkston, Glasgow). Circa 40 nestboxes will be monitored throughout the breeding season. Adults and Pulli will be colour-ringed (Darvic) under a BTO-approved project.
