A Great Northern Diver in breeding plumage off Ardmore South Bay.
Up to 12 Black-tailed Godwits at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
 
Sunday 2 July 2023
A moulting adult Little Ringed Plover and at least two Green Sandpipers at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also one Black-tailed Godwit.
Now four Common Sandpiper chicks on the scrape at RSPB Lochwinnoch.

An adult Mediterranean Gull at Strathclyde Loch, before flying north.
At RSPB Baron's Haugh, an impressive selection of waders with two adult Little Ringed Plovers, seven Green Sandpipers and 21 Black-tailed Godwits; also an Osprey patrolling the area.
A Black-tailed Godwit on the RSPB Lochwinnoch scrape.
A pair of Shelduck with four large young on the River Clyde at Carstairs Junction Bridge.

A drake Common Scoter on Bishop Loch.
Three Little Egrets over Balmore Pool in the morning.
A Hummingbird Hawk-moth on Valerian in a Barrhead garden.
 
Monday 10 July 2023
An Osprey at Balgray Reservoir, flying off in direction of Waulkmill Glen Reservoir, also a Black-tailed Godwit on Balgray.
An adult Little Ringed Plover with a juvenile on RSPB Lochwinnoch scrape, also a female Shoveler with three fully grown young.
 
Tuesday 11 July 2023
Three Little Egrets and an Osprey at Ardmore.
Eleven Black-tailed Godwits and two Green Sandpipers (still seven yesterday) at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
An adult Little Ringed Plover with a juvenile on RSPB Lochwinnoch scrape, also a noticeable build-up of wildfowl and an Otter.

An Osprey fishing in Ardmore North Bay.
Four Black-tailed Godwits and four Green Sandpipers (eight yesterday) at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also two male Whinchats.
An adult Little Ringed Plover with a juvenile continues on RSPB Lochwinnoch scrape, also now 50 Lapwings.
Three Black-tailed Godwits briefly at South Medwin Pools,
An Osprey NW over Sheriff's Port, Great Cumbrae.

An adult Little Ringed Plover with a juvenile continues on RSPB Lochwinnoch scrape, also an adult Spotted Flycatcher with at least two juveniles beside the trail.
Four Black-tailed Godwits and four Green Sandpipers at RSPB Baron's Haugh,
Eight Common Crossbills at BAE Systems, Bishopton.

An adult Mediterranean Gull in Cardwell Bay/Ironotter Point, Gourock.
At RSPB Baron's Haugh, an adult Little Ringed Plover, three Green Sandpipers and two Black-tailed Godwits.
A dolphin sp off Dumbarton Rock.
A Hummingbird Hawk-moth in a Ruchill garden and yesterday one on Petunias in an Eaglesham garden.
 
Monday 17 July 2023
On an incoming tide at Ardmore between 09.00-13.00, a drake Common Scoter, four Little Egrets, three Greenshanks, 32 Black-tailed Godwits and four Bar-tailed Godwits, also two Ospreys.
Eight Green Sandpipers at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also two Black-tailed Godwits and a Little Ringed Plover still.
A Green Sandpiper on RSPB Lochwinnoch scrape, also still a Greenshank and a Little Ringed Plover with chick.

A Great Northern Diver in Camstraddan Bay, south of Luss, Loch Lomond.
Three Little Egrets and three Greenshanks in Ardmore North Bay.
Two Ospreys and two Greenshanks at Longhaugh Point with a Little Egret and ten Black-tailed Godwits on Milton Island early afternoon.

38 Manx Shearwaters feeding in Millport Bay, Great Cumbrae late afternoon.
In the morning at Carbarns, a Little Egret on the river, six Whinchats near Carbarns Pool and a Greenshank flying upriver; later nine Green Sandpipers,  seven Common Sandpipers and a Black-tailed Godwit at RSPB Baron's Haugh
No further news on the Quail SE of Balmore in a field between village and footbridge over River Kelvin, but in the same area yesterday evening four Grey Partridges is an excellent record.

Three moulting Slavonian Grebes on Hogganfield Loch.
Two Little Egrets, two Whimbrel and a summer-plumaged Bar-tailed Godwit in Ardmore North Bay.
Eight Green Sandpipers, seven Common Sandpipers and a Black-tailed Godwit at RSPB Baron’s Haugh, also a Little Egret on River Clyde there.
A Red Kite near Abington and an Osprey on River Clyde at Wandel.

Two Little Egrets, three Whimbrels, two Greenshanks and six summer-plumaged Bar-tailed Godwits in Ardmore North Bay, also offshore four Red-throated Divers.
Five Green Sandpipers and now 12 Common Sandpipers at RSPB Baron’s Haugh.
Six Common Crossbills at Ardochrig, near East Kilbride.

59 Manx Shearwaters feeding off Clashfarland Point, Great Cumbrae before heading north, also a raft of around 100 Guillemots.
Three feral Barnacle Geese continue at Strathclyde Loch.
 
Monday 31 July 2023
On a rising tide at Ardmore North Bay, an excellent selection of migrant waders, mostly still in breeding plumage, including a Curlew Sandpiper, three Sanderlings, 30 Knot, a Turnstone, a Greenshank, six Bar-tailed Godwits and a Golden Plover, also five Little Egrets.
A Common Tern on Castle Semple Loch late afternoon.
Yesterday on the Isle of Bute, five Ospreys circling, and off Glecknabae 600 Manx Shearwaters.
Yesterday at RSPB Baron's Haugh, 10 Green Sandpipers and 15 Common Sandpipers.​
