The three fledged juvenile Little Ringed Plovers continue at the scrapes at RSPB Lochwinnoch where three Black-tailed Godwits were noted yesterday.
The autumn gathering of Lapwings has now reached 170 individuals at Frankfield Loch.

Sightings from Cloch Point between 07.45-09.50 included five Manx Shearwaters north, 60 Gannets in a feeding frenzy and 20 Harbour Porpoises, also a sick-looking Black-tailed Godwit on the shore.

An adult Mediterranean Gull at Cardwell Bay, ringed in May 2017 in Poland, subsequently seen at Cardwell Bay in July and 22 August 2018 (by same observer on same day in 2022), but already appeared at site on 27 July 2022.

A juvenile Marsh Harrier at Balgray Reservoir (perhaps the same bird seen at Shieldhill recently), also a Ruff, a Greenshank and 19 Black-tailed Godwits.
An adult Mediterranean Gull at Cardwell Bay, ringed in May 2017 in Poland, subsequently seen at Cardwell Bay in July and 22 August 2018 (by same observer on same day in 2022), but already appeared at site on 27 July 2022.

A dark-phase Arctic Skua, two Arctic Terns and eleven Sandwich Terns downriver past Longhaugh Point between 09.00-09.45, also three Ospreys, 20 Black-tailed Godwits, one Bar-tailed Godwit, four Knot, a Greenshank and ten Spotted Flycatchers there; nearby, early afternoon, six Black-tailed Godwits and a Greenshank at Newshot Island.
Counts on the north side of the estuary at Ardmore from 09.55-13.20 included three Little Egrets, 13 Grey Heron, eight Knot, two Bar-tailed Godwits, seven Black-tailed Godwits and two Greenshanks; yesterday, a Sanderling, a Grey Plover and six Golden Plovers,
Three Sandwich Terns briefly at Balgray Reservoir, also still a Ruff, Greenshank and 13 Black-tailed Godwits, also a good count for the site of 330 Mallards and a flock of 65 Linnets.
