With the exception of the latest Clyde Bird Report (2010), the publications shown below are now out of print, but sometimes come up for sale.  The George Waterston Library at Waterston House (Club Headquarters) holds a copy of them. The library, the largest of its kind in Scotland, is open to all for reference (members of the SOC may borrow items), during Waterston  House opening hours.

The Birds of the
​Firth of Clyde (1936)

Covers the old counties of Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, Buteshire, Dunbartonshire and the southern half of Argyllshire, plus the city of Glasgow. While writing his book the author made numerous field trips from his manse in Govan to many parts of the Clyde area, and conducted an exhaustive search of references to Clyde birds in books and papers going as far back as the 16th century.
