A pair of Little Ringed Plovers on Longhaugh Point field pools, also a Barnacle Goose and 28 Pink-feet; nearby 17 Whimbrel on the estuary and a Little Egret at Milton Island.
A pair of Mandarin Ducks with six ducklings on Loch Fad, Isle of Bute.
Migrants include a male Whinchat at Gartloch Pool (Cuckoo in the area yesterday) and single Garden Warblers at Sallochy and Aird Meadow, also yesterday, Arran’s first Swift of the year over Clachaig Farm.

Correction: As seen by the photo below from Loch Fad, Isle of Bute, the drake Mandarin Duck is guarding a female Mallard and her six ducklings, but whether he is the father or not, only time will tell if the ducklings survive.
