 Thursday 1 December
A redhead Smew still on Hogganfield Loch.
Unusually a Red-throated Diver at Erskine Harbour, also two Greenshanks.
 
Friday 2 December
A probable 1cy Yellow-legged Gull at Greengairs Landfill, Airdrie, also a leucistic Herring Gull.
A male Blackcap still coming to a Netherlee garden.
 
Saturday 3 December
Three redhead Smews recorded today, one at Balgray Reservoir, one at Helensburgh Reservoirs (perhaps the Ardmore bird?) and still one on Hogganfield Loch.
The drake Ring-necked Duck still on Victoria Park Pond.
A drake Pintail and 56 Goosanders on Balgray Reservoir.
A Green Sandpiper and a female Pintail at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also a Woodcock and a Chiffchaff.
Now two Otters on the White Cart Water at the Pollokshaws entrance to Pollok Country Park.
 
Sunday 4 December
A redhead Smew still on Hogganfield Loch.
A redhead Smew still on Helensburgh Reservoirs.
A drake Pintail and 105 Goosanders on Balgray Reservoir, also 100 Linnets.
Two Green Sandpipers and a Black-tailed Godwit at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also two wintering Chiffchaffs.
At least two Brambling with Chaffinches near Muirshiel Country Park Visitor Centre.
 
Monday 5 December
Still a total of three redhead Smews in the recording area with one on Balgray Reservoir. one on Hogganfield Loch and one on Helensburgh Reservoirs.
A pair of Pintail at Ross Park, west Loch Lomond, also a Jack Snipe and a Woodcock at Carrick Golf Course.
Single male Blackcaps coming to a Netherlee garden and a Houston garden.
At dusk, a Woodcock over Orbiston Street, Motherwell in the direction of former Ravenscraig site.
Yesterday a Siberian Chiffchaff showing well on the Allander walkway near Rangers Training Centre, Milngavie at NS563731.
 
Tuesday 6 December
A redhead Smew still on Balgray Reservoir, also still a drake Pintail and 65 Goosanders.
A redhead Smew still on Helensburgh Reservoirs, but elusive.
Three Little Egrets at Longhaugh Point and another two on the opposite side downriver from Milton Island.
The Endrick Greenland White-fronted Goose flock still elusive, but a total of 51 in the Croftamie farm fields.
Two Greenshanks at Erskine Harbour.
Three Mandarin Ducks (two drakes) at Balloch.
A single Twite with 100+ Linnets, 120+ Chaffinches and 250+ Skylarks in the rhubarb fields at Blackstoun Farm, Linwood, this morning.
Now male and female Blackcap in a Houston garden and a male continues in a Netherlee garden.
 
Wednesday 7 December
A redhead Smew still on Balgray Reservoir, also still a drake Pintail.
From Great Cumbrae, 34 Bar-tailed Godwit and a Water Rail at Skate Point, and a single Purple Sandpiper at White Bay.
A male Blackcap continues in a Houston garden.

Thursday 8 December
A Black-throated Diver again on Glanderston Dam, Barrhead.
Two Greenshanks at White Bay, Great Cumbrae.
2,300 Pink-footed Geese (one with a neck collar), a Greenland White-fronted Goose and a Barnacle Goose in the fields opposite Hewlett Packard, Erskine; nearby, two Guillemots along the Clyde between Newshot Island and the Erskine Bridge Hotel this morning.
A ringtail Hen Harrier in Glen Fruin.
A female Blackcap again in a Houston garden. and the male continues in a Netherlee garden.
An Otter on White Cart at the White Bridge in Linn Park.
 
Friday 9 December
A redhead Smew still on Hogganfield Loch.
 
Saturday 10 December
A single Waxwing on a tree at RSPB Lochwinnoch visitor centre; nearby three Barnacle Geese over Barr Loch.
A Jack Snipe and a Woodcock at Campsie Glen.
A wintering Chiffchaff briefly in an Anniesland garden.
A male Blackcap, one of 20 species, coming to a Netherlee garden.
A female Blackcap coming to a Cardross garden.
The Black-throated Diver found dead on Glanderston Dam yesterday.
 
Sunday 11 December
A report of a Bittern flushed from Dubbs Water, by the Barr Loch trail, RSPB Lochwinnoch; nearby three Barnacle Geese at Garthland Lodge in the morning and later with mixed goose flock at south end of Barr Loch.
A drake Green-winged Teal at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also a Little Egret.
A good count of 12 Slavonian Grebes between Cardross and Ardmore.
At least two Common Crossbills and two Bramblings at Muirshiel Country Park.
Two Tree Sparrows at Windlaw Marsh, Carmunnock.
A male and female Blackcap in a Netherlee garden.
 
Monday 12 December
A drake Green-winged Teal still at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also a Little Egret.
183 Greenland White-fronted Geese in the big field between Meikle Finnery and The Learigg in the Croftamie/Gartocharn area.
A male Blackcap continues in a Houston garden.
 
Tuesday 13 December
A wintering Chiffchaff still at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
 
Wednesday 14 December
Two Grey Plovers at Ardmore, also a Woodcock.
A cold weather concentration of 16 Woodcock along 50m stretch of Dargavel Burn, Bishopton.
A Red-throated Diver and Guillemot on River Clyde at Dalmuir STW.
A ringtail Hen Harrier in Glen Fruin.

Thursday 15 December
A Bittern again at Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
A Green Sandpiper at BAE Systems, Bishopton.
A Red-throated Diver and a Guillemot on the River Clyde at Erskine.
Seven Woodcock in Campsie Glen.
A Jack Snipe and a Woodcock at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
A Woodcock over the road at Drymen, going to its nocturnal feeding ground.
 
Friday 16 December
The adult Ring-billed Gull makes its return to Strathclyde Loch, viewed from the Foreshore carpark.
A drake Green-winged Teal in the channel at Millbank Burn, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
A female Blackcap in a Helensburgh garden.
 
Saturday 17 December
Two Hen Harriers at Lochwinnoch, also two Pintails {one drake} and three Barnacle Geese in fields nearby.
A Green Sandpiper on River Clyde between Carbarns and Merryton, also a Woodcock at Easter Braes.
Three Waxwings in Druminlaw Road, Rutherglen.
A male Blackcap still coming daily to feeders in a Giffnock garden.
 
Sunday 18 December
A colour-ringed Mediterranean Gull on ice at Victoria Park.
A Little Egret at Cardross Bay, and a male Blackcap regularly visiting a garden nearby.
A Green Sandpiper again on River Clyde at Carbarns, flying off towards Merryton and another or the same on ice at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also, a Woodcock flushed in Dalzell Estate.
A Greenland White-fronted Goose with Pink-feet and Greylags at West Porton Farm, Bishopton.
Three Barnacle Geese on ice at Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
A male Blackcap again in a Netherlee garden.
 
Monday 19 December
Two male Hen Harriers interacting at Lochwinnoch, also still three Barnacle Geese in the area.
A Waxwing in a Houston garden.
 
Tuesday 20 December
A White-tailed Eagle flying east across Net Bay early morning
A Waxwing still in a Houston garden.
Two Woodcocks at Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
 
Wednesday 21 December
At BAE, Systems, Bishopton, a Green Sandpiper on Cordite Burn and 100 Siskins beside Dargavel Burn
A Waxwing still in a Houston garden.
A male Blackcap again at Kilmardinny Wood, also 100 Siskins.
A male Blackcap still coming to gardens in Netherlee.

A drake Smew on Aird Meadow, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
About 130 Greenland White-fronted Geese in the Meikle Finnery, Gartocharn area.
 
Friday 23 December
A drake Smew still on Aird Meadow, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
A Green Sandpiper on River Clyde at RAPB Baron's Haugh, before flying off south.
Yesterday a report of a Snow Goose with Pink-feet by A811 south of Drymen.
 
Saturday 24 December
A Snow Goose in a field at Lomond Mountain Rescue Centre, Old Gartmore Road, Drymen; and 93 Greenland White-fronted Geese in the Meikle Finnery area, also a total of 1.870 Pink-footed Geese in three flocks in the area.
A drake Smew still on Aird Meadow, RSPB Lochwinnoch, also a Shelduck.
A Green Sandpiper at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
A Chiffchaff seen and heard at Riverside Museum, Glasgow.
Yesterday, a redhead Smew again on Hogganfield Loch, and 32 Whooper Swans on Loch Libo, Uplawmoor.
 
Sunday 25 December
The Snow Goose with Greylags still in a field beside Old Gartmore Road, Drymen.
The drake Smew now on Castle Semple Loch.
A Green Sandpiper at Carbarns Pool.
Four Common Crossbills at Lennox Forest.
 
Monday 26 December
The Snow Goose with Greylags still in a field beside Old Gartmore Road, Drymen.
The adult Ring-billed Gull again at Strathclyde Loch, by watersports centre.
A Green Sandpiper at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
Three Barnacle Geese in field at Garthland Wood, Lochwinnoch.
 
Tuesday 27 December
At RSPB Lochwinnoch, a Bittern flushed again, and a drake Smew on Aird Meadow.
 
Wednesday 28 December
A drake Ring-necked Duck back on Victoria Park Pond.
A Snow Goose continues at Old Gartmore Road, Drymen.
The drake Smew commuting between Aird Meadow, RSPB Lochwinnoch and Castle Semple Loch.

An adult Mediterranean Gull at a flood pool beside Black Cart Water at Inchinnan Industrial Estate; nearby, two Greenland White-fronted Geese with 600 Pink-feet at Old Schoolhouse, Candrens Road, Linwood.
A drake Ring-necked Duck still on Victoria Park Pond.
The drake Smew still on Aird Meadow, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
Two female Scaup on Clyde Estuary off Port Glasgow.
 
Saturday 31 December
The Snow Goose still at Drymen, but off B837 behind Buchanan Smithy,
The drake Smew now at south end of Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch early afternoon.
Three Slavonian Grebes, a Little Egret, four Grey Plovers and 38 Bar-tailed Godwits at Ardmore.
Six Common Crossbills feeding on larch at Garadhban Forest.
Ten Bramblings feeding on beech mast near Muirshiel Country Park visitor centre.
A wintering Chiffchaff heard and seen again at Riverside Museum but considered to be a different individual from last week.
