It was a red-letter day for Iain McDonald and Tom Byars when they decided to go birdwatching at Glennifer Braes in Paisley. Both experienced birdwatchers, their attention was drawn by an unfamiliar song which turned out to be new not only to Briatin but the Western Palaearctic! Read their story here.
