Subject - Gull identification workshop
An informal look at gull identification focusing on the common species found in Scotland with hints and tips on how to identify gulls in the field. This will be aimed at beginners/ improvers. It’s not a workshop for those looking for an in-depth analysis of the finer points large, rarer gull identification – eg
Caspian Gull, etc.
Speaker - Scott Paterson - Scott leads the SOC’s programme of bird identification walks and has been a self-employed ornithological surveyor for 10 years. Worked for the RSPB and other conservation organisations for 15 years and was involved in seabird monitoring at the Farne Islands, St Abbs Head, Fowlsheugh and Troup Head.

This is towards the Charing Cross end of Bath Street, close to the
King’s Theatre and Charing Cross railway station. Car parking should be available in the adjacent streets once the parking regulation hours have passed.
To cover the hall hire, we charge an entrance fee of £3 min. There will be no additional charge for the tea, coffee, and biscuits. The fee will be reduced to £1 for students and for others at the discretion of the committee. It would be very helpful if you could bring with you the exact change. We do not have any debit card handling facility.
