ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Since the first Lockdown, the Sallochy car park has only been open for parking to registered campers during the season from March to October. Forestry and Land Scotland have kindly made an exception in our case for this one visit and have permitted access for three cars.

The Loch Lomond Oakwoods are famous for a very good variety of woodland birds and a stronghold for Tree Pipit, Redstart and Wood Warbler. There is a chance of Pied Flycatcher too. Ospreys should be about over the Loch. The pace of the walk will be fairly relaxed and the ambience informal, with  discussion and questions encouraged. The outing is suitable for birdwatchers of all levels. The walk will be led by Ian Fulton who knows the area well and has led many of our outings there in previous years. Previous outings reports are on our Outings page.

If everyone in your car wants to stay beyond the planned end of the outing, you are welcome to stay on. There is much to see / explore in the area. Please bring packed lunch if you want to do this. In case of any emergency or if you have got separated from the rest of the group, Zul’s number is 07400 449501
