OPTICS: Binoculars are essential and a telescope would be useful for waterfowl and seawatching.
FOOTWEAR and CLOTHING: Sturdy boots and warm, waterproof clothing. It is advisable to check the weather forecast beforehand.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Toilets and refreshments are available at Ardardan Garden Centre which is open 10am – 4pm (tearoom), – 5pm (farm shop): https://ardardan.co.uk.
The relatively late start is due to the time of high tide, at 16:30. If you bring a packed lunch, we will probably start with sandwiches and then look at birds.
NB: This outing may be postponed due to poor weather. Please check SOC Clyde branch website (www.birdsinclyde.scot) and Clyde Birding on X (Twitter) in advance.
