Subject - Breeding Bird Survey
On the face of it the Breeding Bird Survey appears quite complicated. It’s nowhere near as bad as it might first seem! Come along and find out more about this incredibly valuable survey and the impacts it has for our birds and habitats. If you are a current volunteer, or thinking about getting into it, come along and feel free to ask any and all questions about the survey.
Speaker - Steve Willis joined BTO in spring 2020 and leads on all of BTO’s engagement with members and supporters across Scotland. Prior to working for BTO Steve has worked in the conservation sector in Scotland for over 20 years and has worked on various mammals, birds, and other beasties in a wide range of habitats. Steve is a Trainee ringer and an active volunteer in the Central Scotland Raptor Study Group.

The Venue - Partick Burgh Hall.
This is near Partick bus, underground and train station (see link for map). Car parking should be available in the adjacent streets e.g. Burgh Hall Street, Peel Street and Fortrose Street once the parking regulation hours have passed (currently after 6pm).
To cover the hall hire, we charge an entrance fee of £3 min. There will be no additional charge for the tea, coffee, and biscuits. The fee will be reduced to £1 for students and for others at the discretion of the committee. It would be very helpful if you could bring with you the exact change. We do not have any debit card handling facility.
If you know you do not receive branch notices but would like to, you can sign up here. Click to join the SOC .
