BIRDS WE HOPE TO SEE: The main interest will be waders and seabirds including grebes, divers, wildfowl and gulls.
TRAVELLING: Public transport: Train to Cardross, bus to the end of Ardmore Road and then a 10-minute walk to the car park. By car it takes about 45 minutes from central Glasgow. Parking is free.
BOOKING INFO: There is no requirement to book, but it would be helpful to have an indication of numbers a few days in advance. Please contact Ania Owsianka.
TERRAIN: The path round the peninsula has been improved and walking will generally be easy, although there are short sections which may be muddy.
OPTICS: Binoculars are essential and a telescope would be useful for waterfowl and seawatching.
FOOTWEAR and CLOTHING: Sturdy boots and warm, waterproof clothing. It is advisable to check the weather forecast beforehand.
