TRAVELLING: Meet at 09:00 at Hogganfield Loch Car Park, Grid Ref NS 638 671 Postcode G33 1QB so that we can drive to Cramond in fewer cars. Alternatively, meet at Cramond Beach Car Park at 10:30. Please contact Ania Owsianka ([email protected]) regarding travel arrangements.
BIRDS WE HOPE TO SEE: Cramond Island is a great vantage point from which to see skuas, sea ducks, divers and a variety of waders. Detailed information about this area can be found on the SOC's excellent App "Where to Watch Birds in Scotland".
TERRAIN: Rough paths and a potentially slippery causeway, so a walking pole might be useful.
OPTICS: Binoculars are essential and a telescope would be very useful.
FOOTWEAR and CLOTHING: Sturdy boots and suitable outdoor clothing. A check of the weather forecast is advisable.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Bring a packed lunch. There are public toilets near the car park in Cramond.
