A male Hen Harrier over Aird Meadow, RSPB Lochwinnoch
 
Thursday 2 October
A female Pintail on the scrape at RSPB Lochwinnoch, later a sub-adult male Hen Harrier, different to the bird seen recently; also  87 Snipe.
Two House Martins and a Swallow at Palacerigg Country Park..
 
Friday 3 October
A Great White Egret and three Barnacle Geese with c600 Pink-footed Geese at Eastfield Farm, Carstairs.
 
Saturday 4 October
A Peregrine over RSPB Baron's Haugh.
 
Sunday 5 October
Ten Barnacle Geese with Pink-footed Geese where the Medwin River crosses Biggar Road, south of Carnwath.
Seven Whooper Swans, a Barnacle Goose, a Pintail, ten Shovelers, 16 Gadwall, 23 Teal, two Black-tailed Godwits and a Little Egret at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
A drake Gadwall on the scrape at RSPB Lochwinnoch, also a report of Seven Whooper Swans flying over
At least 12 Swallows at South Medwin Pools.
Two Whooper Swans at Gartloch Pool.
Two Redwing and c300 Teal at Newshot Island.
 
Monday 6 October
Approximately ten Barnacle Geese with c400 Pink-footed Geese at The Meetings.
14 adult Whooper Swans at East Pond, Douglas Estate.
A large flock of c425 Golden Plover flock, along with c400 Lapwing at South Medwin Pools.
Three Green Sandpiper at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
 
Tuesday 7 October
One ringtail and two male Hen Harriers at Wards Pond, RSPB Loch Lomond, also two Whooper Swans.
20 Whooper Swans flying south over Frankfield Loch.
The long staying Great White Egret seen again at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
Two female type Pintail at Millichen Flood.
A further ringtail Hen Harrier at Fannyside Loch.
68 Whooper Swans, including 12 juveniles and a few Barnacle Geese, on the Clyde floodplain between Carstairs Junction Bridge and the Meetings, Carnwath.

Wednesday 8 October
A male and a female Peregrine at Balmore.
c6,000 Pink-footed Geese, at least ten Barnacle Geese, 94 Whooper Swans, of which at least 15 were juveniles, in the Carstairs area. 
c400 Golden Plover and a Red Kite at South Medwin Pools
An adult Peregrine at Ardmore North Bay.
21 Whooper Swans on the Barr Loch at RSPB Lochwinnoch.
 
Thursday 9th October
Seven Glossy Ibis initially at RSPB Baron's Haugh, then at Carbarns, returning to the RSPB Baron's Haugh area later on.  Subject to the relevant rare birds panel approval, which should be a formality given the excellent photographic evidence, these will be a first record for Clyde.
Also, at RSPB Baron's Haugh a Green Sandpiper, a female Scaup and a Peregrine.
Also, at Carbarns a singing Chiffchaff.
Three Little Egrets at Longhaugh Point.
A male and a female Scaup on the Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
Three tern sp. (probably Arctic) at Strathclyde Loch.
 
Friday 10 October
No further sightings of the Glossy Ibis. Two birds were reported at Twechar Marsh yesterday evening which may have been part of the group seen heading eastward away from RSPB Baron's Haigh.
A Shoveler and four House Martins at Balgray Reservoir.
Greenland White-fronted Geese have been heard in the vicinity of RSPB Loch Lomond.
Two Peregrines over Balmore Pool.
A Green Sandpiper at BAE Bishopton.
A Wheatear at Ballochmartin Bay, Great Cumbrae.
 
Saturday 11th October
A Great White Egret and 18 Whooper Swans at RSPB Lochwinnoch.
Redwings heard over Kilmacolm.
An unringed, adult Mediterranean Gull at Cardwell Bay.
An American Wigeon back at Newshot island, seen from the Golden Jubilee side.
Five female Black Grouse at upper Glen Fruin.
A Great White Egret, six Green Sandpipers, four Black-tailed Godwits, a female Scaup and an eclipse Pintail at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
Sunday 12th October
A Great White Egret remains at RSPB Lochwinnoch, also a juvenile Marsh Harrier at Barr Loch
At least six Redwing at Rouken Glen.
Eight Green Sandpiper, six Black-tailed Godwit, a drake Pintail, a Little Egret and two Whooper Swan at RSPB Baron’s Haugh.
Four Little Egret, five Black-tailed Godwit and a Peregrine at Longhaugh Point.
 
Monday 13 October
A recording of a singing Cetti's Warbler at Merryton, heard from the end of Chestnut Walk, RSPB Baron's Haugh. If accepted by SBRC this would be the first record for Clyde; also on the reserve, a Golden Plover, four Green Sandpipers, five Black-tailed Godwits, an excellent count of up to 150 Snipe and on the river, a Little Egret.
A Great White Egret flying south over Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch, also 93 Snipe on the scrape at Aird Meadow.
A Guillemot on Loch Lomond off Inchmurrin, also a Seal.
Two Fieldfares over Linn Park.
Late news from Clyde Islands yesterday included a Greenshank and a Sandwich Tern at White Bay, Great Cumbrae, and on Isle of Bute, a total of ten Little Egrets and 80 Golden Plovers.
 
Tuesday 14 October
A  Cetti's Warbler still singing and showing on occasions, now on RSPB Baron's Haugh side of River Clyde, at breach and old Phoenix Hide, If accepted by SBRC this would be the first record for Clyde; also on the reserve, a Golden Plover, six Green Sandpipers, four Black-tailed Godwits, an excellent count of up to 200 Snipe, a Little Egret and a Pintail.

Wednesday 15 October
A Cetti’s Warbler again singing and showing briefly at RSPB Baron's Haugh side of River Clyde, at breach and old Phoenix Hide, If accepted by SBRC this will be the first record for Clyde; also on the reserve, two Green Sandpipers and four Black-tailed Godwits.
A male Hen Harrier west over M77 from Eaglesham area.
 
Thursday 16 October
A drake American Wigeon and two adult Mediterranean Gulls at Newshot Island, viewed from north side of river, also a Little Egret.
Eleven Greenland White-fronted Geese at Hillhead Farm, Croftamie.
Two Little Egrets on the island at Strathclyde Loch.
A Red Kite NW over Barcraigs Reservoir.
18 Shovelers on Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
Yesterday, a probable Yellow-browed Warbler heard, and briefly seen at Kirk o' Shotts.
 
Friday 17 October
A Glossy Ibis at Balmore Pool, before flying off west.
A Glossy Ibis at South Medwin Pools, before flying off north.
A drake American Wigeon at Newshot Island, viewed from north side of river.
From bird information sites, a Cetti's Warbler still in song at RSPB Baron's Haugh in the morning but not heard in the afternoon.
A Great White Egret at north end of Castle Semple Loch; later, in the evening, to roost at Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch
Two Red Kites NW over Conic Hill.
16 Whooper Swans over Symington.
 
Saturday 18 October
A Glossy Ibis still at Balmore Pool.
A Glossy Ibis west over Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch early afternoon, relocated later south of Kerse Bridge (NS336553), but flying off north at dusk, also still a Great White Egret and four Otters.
A drake American Wigeon at Newshot Island, also, unusually so high up the estuary, a Rock Pipit and three Guillemots.
 A Cetti's Warbler still in song and showing briefly at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also still six Black-tailed Godwits and four Green Sandpipers.
The Belgian Mediterranean Gull (now 23 years old) back at Strathclyde Loch.
20 Black-tailed Godwits and four Little Egrets at Longhaugh Point.
A Brambling heard amongst a passage of Chaffinches, Fieldfares and Redwings, over Craigend Hill, Erskine.
 
Sunday 19 October
A Glossy Ibis still on fields south of Kerse Bridge (NS336553).
 A Cetti's Warbler still in song and showing briefly at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also still six Black-tailed Godwits, three Green Sandpipers and up to 200 Snipe, also a juvenile Goshawk.
Two Peregrines at Glasgow University.
 
Monday 20 October
A Glossy Ibis still on fields south of Kerse Bridge, Lochwinnoch (NS336553); nearby, a Marsh Harrier over Barr Loch in the morning and a Great White Egret at north end of Castle Semple Loch.
 A Cetti's Warbler still in song and showing well at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also a Great White Egret and a Little Egret.
Two Brent Geese in Ardmore North Bay.
A Greenshank in White Bay, Great Cumbrae.
 
Tuesday 21 October
A Great White Egret continues at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also four Black-tailed Godwits and two Green Sandpipers.
Two Mediterranean Gulls (adult and 2nd-winter) at Strathclyde Loch.
A Jack Snipe and two Little Egrets by River Clyde at Carstairs Junction Bridge.

At RSPB Baron's Haugh, six Black-tailed Godwits and at least three Green Sandpipers.
A Little Egret in West Bay, Great Cumbrae.
A Brambling at Kirk o' Shotts,
250 Fieldfares at Gates Road, Lochwinnoch.

No records of note.
 
Friday 24 October
A Red Kite north over Hillhead Farm, Croftamie.
Three Barnacle Geese with 270 Canada Geese in a field at Kerse Bridge, Lochwinnoch; nearby, a moulting drake Scaup on Castle Semple Loch, before flying off to Aird Meadow.
 
Saturday 25 October
A Slavonian Grebe on Johnston Loch, Coatbridge.
Two Barnacle Geese in a field at Kerse Bridge, Lochwinnoch; nearby, a moulting drake Scaup on Barr Loch, also an unconfirmed report of a White-tailed Eagle over.
 
Sunday 26 October
A drake American Wigeon continues at Newshot Island, also 200 Fieldfare in the Hawthorn hedge there.
 A moulting 1st-winter drake Scaup at roost on Castle Semple Loch. also 22 Goldeneye.
 
Monday 27 October
A juvenile White-tailed Eagle over Longhaugh Point in the direction of the Kilpatricks.
Up to three Great White Egrets briefly at RSPB Baron's Haugh, also two Black-tailed Godwits and five Green Sandpipers.
A female Scaup at north end of Barr Loch, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
A Brambling over Cardross Bay.
 
Tuesday 28 October
A Golden Eagle at Upper Glen Fruin.
A Great White Egret at Loudon Pond, Douglas Water.
A 1st-winter Mediterranean Gull at Strathclyde Loch, also a late Swallow.
Two Little Egrets and 12 Black-tailed Godwits at Ardmore.
A Little Egret in West Bay, Great Cumbrae.

Wednesday 29 October
A Glossy Ibis off the car park at Castle Semple Loch.
A single Black-tailed Godwit and a Shelduck at RSPB Baron's Haugh.
 
Thursday 30 October
 A Glossy Ibis again off the car park at Castle Semple Loch, but not seen later.
In the Pettinain area, two Barnacle Geese with 2,200 Pink-footed Geese and 49 Whooper Swans at Westraw Mains, 62 Whooper Swans and three Little Egrets at Eastfield Farm and a Great White Egret at The Meetings.
A Greenshank at Parklea, Port Glasgow.
 
Friday 31 October
 A juvenile Marsh Harrier over Aird Meadow, RSPB Lochwinnoch.
A Green Sandpiper at BAE Systems, Bishopton.
A Peregrine north over St Mary's RC Church, Calton, Glasgow.
