SOC Clyde Branch launches scheme to subsidise young birdwatchers to attend the Club's Annual Conference
|
With bookings for the Club's 2025 Annual Conference going live on Monday 29th September, the SOC is pleased to announce a new initiative from Clyde Branch to help local, young birdwatchers to attend the event at Kilmardinny House, Bearsden, on Saturday 22 November.
The Club has long supported young people at its flagship event, recognising the networking potential and educational opportunity it presents. In recent years particularly, SOC has sought to explore ways in which the Charity can nurture and develop young bird enthusiasts to ensure there is a future generation of naturalists recording, conserving and speaking up for our country’s birds. We're delighted that this year, Clyde Branch is offering additional funding to help these young people to attend Conference. Clyde branch Committee have kindly pledged to subsidise 20 conference places, allowing successful applicants to attend the day for £10 per person. This includes the full Conference programme, tea/coffee during intervals and a buffet lunch and optional dinner. Places are limited and will be allocated through an application process: *̶ ̶A̶p̶p̶l̶i̶c̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶d̶e̶a̶d̶l̶i̶n̶e̶:̶ ̶S̶u̶n̶d̶a̶y̶ ̶1̶2̶ ̶O̶c̶t̶o̶b̶e̶r̶ ̶2̶0̶2̶5̶,̶ ̶5̶p̶m̶ ̶*̶ ̶N̶o̶t̶i̶f̶i̶c̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶c̶o̶m̶e̶:̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶F̶r̶i̶d̶a̶y̶ ̶1̶7̶ ̶O̶c̶t̶o̶b̶e̶r̶ ̶2̶0̶2̶5̶ Application deadline extended to 29 October with notification shortly afterwards. |
